No Alcohol for young drivers
The Chief Medical Officer, Sir Liam Donaldson, has said in his annual report that the legal blood alcohol limit should be reduced to zero for drivers aged 17-20.
14 young people are killed a week in car accidents in the UK and alcohol bans for young drivers are in place already across Europe while some states in Australia and the US have similar bans.
What do we think?
We think it’s a good idea - but why separate young people from everyone else? No-one is safe when they’re drunk so perhaps the argument should be made for elders to set an example and also agree to a complete ban?
We’d like to know what you think - we’ve put up a post in the forum and would like to hear your views.
