Left turn:
Mirrors.Check interior and exterior left mirrors.
Signalleft.
Position. Take the left lane.
Speeddown. Judge whether or not you will need to stop or slow depending on the traffic to the right. Select the appropriate gear to go.
Lookto the right.
If it's safe, move out on to the roundabout. Keep to the left lane and keep your left signal on throughout the roundabout. Leave the roundabout in the left lane and remember to cancel your signal and check your mirrors once you have left.
Straight ahead:
Mirrors.Check interior mirror.
No approach signalfor straight ahead.
Position.Take the left lane unless it is blocked or road markings tell you otherwise.
Speed down. Judge whether or not you will need to stop or slow depending on the traffic to the right. Select the appropriate gear to go.
Lookto the right.
If it's safe, move out on to the roundabout. Keep to the left lane and, as you pass the exit before the one you want, check your interior and exterior left mirrors, signal left. Leave the roundabout in the left lane and remember to cancel your signal and check your mirrors once you have left.
Right turn:
Mirrors.Check interior and exterior right mirrors.
Signal right.
Position.Take the right hand lane.
Speed down. Judge whether or not you will need to stop or slow depending on the traffic to the right. Select the appropriate gear to go.
Lookto the right.
If it's safe, move out onto the roundabout. Keep to the right hand lane. As you pass the exit before the one you want, check your interior and exterior left mirrors and signal left. Leave the roundabout in the left lane unless road markings tell you otherwise or unless it is unsafe to do so. Remember to cancel your signal and check your mirrors once you have left.
