S1 - Find a quiet, straight road with as few parked cars as possible. It’s important to find a spot with a good view up and down the road. Also, try to remember local residents’ feelings - this manoeuvre often causes learners to rev the engine, it’s not much fun for people listening to it for an hour on a quiet Sunday afternoon - just practice a few times and then try to find somewhere else or leave it for another day.
Please also take note of the recommendation in the introduction to practice clutch control and straight line reversing before attempting this manoeuvre.
